A note from STEVE HARVEY….
Gratitude is the act of being thankful and showing appreciation and gratefulness for what you already have. It positions you to find contentment and joy with what is good and right in your life – even as you strive for more.

A RECAP OF pages 91-98 as told by Coach Mea
(click here to learn more about Danie’s journey):
Steve remembers getting calls, one in particular from Halle Berry as he experienced the public humiliation of the pageant mistake. His friends were there without hesitation. He realized that his real friends were there.
Dr. Phil sent a long text on how to handle the situation. Adversity is not the time to waddle in it, even though we do at times. Steve mentioned that when he put his adversity to the side, that is when he started to put his adversity behind him is when he started to receive the lesson from God. For weeks Steve said that he tried to reach out to Miss Columbia but to no avail l until she agreed to come on the show.
Mr. Harvey extended the most heartfelt apology to Miss Columbia for the uncomfortable and unfortunate situation that he’d place her in. Although the situation of the entire pageant was embarrassing and yet controversial, Steve found a way to keep his faith. “It is a promise of God that when you do he right thing, an even better thing will happen… If you take one step, He’ll take two. When you are bold enough to step off in faith, to jump, that is when you’ll soar”.
Wow, now Steve’s experience was quite embarrassing. I am uncertain how I would have been able to cope in that situation if I didn’t have God in my life. The lesson to be learned here is that when things happen in the midst of pursuing your dreams, don’t give up. Don’t have a pity party! Don’t allow adversity define who you are and what you want to become. Move adversity to the side and focus on your goals and JUMP!!!
